Wenen en de wijn

• opens on a brief, open-air musical performance of the song 'Wiener Herzen, Wiener Wein…' for American tourists at a café. Cuts to two locals who discuss whether the tourists have any idea how this wine is being made. So one of them steps up to the tourists, introduces himself as Dr. Bergauer, a teacher(!) "hier in Grinzing". Followed by a fade-out and fade-in to countryside scenes over which the production process, from winter preparatory work to the final product—all manual work—, is narrated. Shots vary from wide to very close and detailed. (Nice detail, given the frame story’s setting, is that these Austrian grapevines are grafted on American ones.) Then back to the frame story, where the teacher says goodbye and walks home along the vineyards while the song is being hummed.
